INTRODUCTION
Since its establishment, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages has always aimed at developing an education program that fosters both professionalism and foreign languages, with professional foreign language skills and possessing an international perspective being the core abilities behind the education of globalized personnel. In order to respond to globalization and industrial development in Taiwan, desirable personnel must possess more than just general English language and trade abilities. Industries also prefer employees to have a solid foundation in foreign language in order to enhance their professional English ability and possess a global economic perspective and skills in transnational corporate management. As a result, our school integrated the faculty and resources of the Department of English and the Department of International Business Administration, and established the “Bachelor Degree Program of International Business English” in August 2014. The program will focus on practical training of international business English while taking advantage of our excellent and multitalented international business English faculty, as well as our advanced language learning equipment to educate professional international business English personnel versed in foreign languages.
Core Abilities
This bachelor degree program aims at educating students versed in the English language and international business. Core abilities include intermediate/advanced English proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation), and knowledge of international business (global marketing, business English, international logistics, international trade). Graduates will acquire cross-cultural communication skills as well as acting power, and possess a competitive edge when searching for a job in the field of international business.
