Curriculum Planning

This Bachelor degree program was established in response to the change and needs of the industrial development in Taiwan, with the aim of educating desirable international business English talents. The program curriculum is designed based on four disciplines: liberal education, English communication training, business English training and certification training. Our holistic education, focusing on humanities and environment, requires students to take general education courses (both fundamental and advanced) from their first year of study to the third year. Fundamental general education courses are further categorized into four groups: humanities and arts, social studies, nature and sciences, and logic and reasoning. Advanced general education courses are also offered as well. In addition, English and business-related courses are offered from the freshman year to senior year, with business English courses starting from the sophomore year.

This Bachelor degree program includes training in English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. All courses are taught in English, which allows students to become accustomed to communicating naturally in English; most required business courses are also taught in English, which encourages students to interact using business English. Concerning the acquisition of professional knowledge, the program focuses on improving students’ knowledge of business English, global marketing, logistics and trade. The program will also assist students in obtaining professional certification in global marketing, customer relationship management, international trade, as well as the Certificate of Qualification of International Trade Practice Exam. Possessing such certifications will enable students to pursue a career in international trade upon graduation.
